These terms and conditions apply to accommodation made available by Salt Box Hideaway. By making a booking for accommodation, you warrant that you have read these terms and conditions and agree to be bound by them subject to such changes as are notified to you from time to time. If the booking for accommodation is made through a third party, the terms and conditions of that third party also apply.

General Terms

Where indicated, minimum stay conditions apply to accommodation. Salt Box Hideaway endeavours to provide the accommodation but reserves the right to refuse requests for bookings or actual bookings due to insufficient or excessive numbers of requests. All accommodation is subject to availability.

Reservation Policies:

All accommodation bookings must be paid in full at the time of reservation. Apologies, we no longer offer booking by credit card.

Check-In/Out:

Check-in is from 3 pm. 

Check-out is 11 am. 

Cancellation policies:

Cancellation fees for accommodation are as follows:

Full refund: For a full refund of accommodation fees, cancellation must be made seven full days prior to 3 pm on the day of check-in. For example, if check-in is on Friday, cancelling by the previous Friday before 3 pm is required.

Partial Refund: There is no partial refund.

No Refund:  If cancellation occurs on the day of check-in, or in the case of a no show, there will be no refund. If a cancellation is made during the 7 days, we will open the calendar and do our best to find another booking for that time. In that case, we will refund your fee.

Cancellations must be made by notifying Salt Box Hideaways between the hours of 10 am and 3 pm 7 days a week or sending an email to bookings@saltboxhideaways.com.au

Guest access

Due to the nature of our property, there is no face to face check-in/check out.  Once booked in, you'll be emailed a one-off entry key code within 24 hours of your arrival. This code is used to access the secure key smart lock on the red door entry of your Hideaway.

We have a backup manual lock box located to the right of the front door (wifi can sometimes be a little iffy on the west coast). If you have had to use this option, please return this key to the secure lockbox upon check out. Lost keys will incur a $50.00 replacement fee. Damaged lockboxes will incur a fee, subject to repairer expenses.  Damage to the internal or external areas of the property will result in fees charged to you. 

Interaction with guests

Our aim is for you to feel like you've escaped to a coastal paradise and if you don't feel the need to interact with others, you don't have to. Should you need anything, or have any questions, we are just a phone call away +61 419 523 735.

The firepot and external seating area at the front of your hideaway is for hideaway guests only. If guests do not put out the fire when they go to bed, they will be charged a fine of $100. Not putting out the fire fully before going to bed poses a serious risk to the heritage-listed shacks. Our local full-time residents do not take kindly to guests not respecting this safety issue and will alert us immediately if they see a fire still burning after guests have retired for the evening.

Other things to note

When you arrive at the bottom of the cul-de-sac of Lette's Bay Road you will only see the back of the heritage-listed shacks due to their unique water frontage. As you drive slowly toward the end of the cul-de-sac you will see through the shacks an olive green shack with a red sign (reflected at night) with 91 on it. This is your home away from home.
